Introduction and Background
Epilepsy Warriors Foundation (EWF) is an independent organization of persons with disabilities (OPD) and non-profit making organization based in Blantyre, Malawi, with the prime motto to bring epilepsy out of the shadows. In 2018 a group of educated, dynamic and epilepsy activists living with Epilepsy working in the development sector, got together to establish an organization for addressing the most urgent and pressing needs of people with epilepsy. True to this spirit, the organization was named Epilepsy Rights Foundation; later changed to Epilepsy Warriors Foundation. In order to achieve its mandate, EWF will be developing a five year strategic plan covering a period of 2024-2029 with financial support from the Disability Rights Fund (DRF) Epilepsy Warriors Foundation is therefore seeking the services of qualified professionals or consultancy firms to develop a five year strategic plan from 2024-2029 which will define the organizations mission, vision, values and strategic interventions for its operation. As an organization founded under the principals of human rights, the strategic planning process must be embedded in principals of equality and non-discrimination. This process should serve as an opportunity to critically review our practices, refresh our objectives


Scope of Work
In conjunction with staff and Board, the consultant will: Review EWF’s vision, mission based on its core objectives, performance and track record Propose strategies for achieving EWF goals and objectives Prepare annual action plans for the tenure of EWF strategic plan to include, inter alia objectives, activities, resource mobilization, key result areas and outcomes. Undertake stakeholder mapping


Deliverables
It is anticipated the consultant’s activities and deliverables will include: An inception report with process guide and strategic plan template and clear timelines Draft issues paper or situation analysis Time span The assignment is expected to take a maximum of 23 man days.


Reporting Arrangements
The consultant will report directly to the Executive Director. The Director will provide relevant background documents necessary for the assignment.


Minimum Qualifications
The consultant/ consultancy should have the following individual/ collective skills and qualifications: Experience and expertise in strategic planning and organizational development Experience working with non-profit organizations Knowledge and understanding of human rights, in particular the rights of persons with disabilities Excellent writing and editing skills (Written and oral fluency in English is a requirement) Ability to work with minimal supervision

All of the documents given below must be shared in one email Technical Proposal (Not more than 7 pages) outlining the proposed design and methodology and the justification for the selected methodology Financial Budget (2 page) providing a breakdown of time spent on each task, roles and responsibilities per team member.
